Crowely is a very serious person when it comes to just about everything. He takes his job and his powers very seriously, and is annoyed at anything that gets in the way. He usually shows contempt for most of his opponents in battle for their reliance on spiritual energy for everything they do. However, he does show great respect for those who fight without relying on their own spiritual pressure. His main goal in life is to protect humans from the clashes of the various supernatural races, and tries always to halt their conflicts before they get out of hand. He can be rather bitter at times, especially when those around him are especially naïve.

History:

Crowely was born in Japan in 1972, to rather nice settings. Although his family was on the poor side, both of his parents loved him, and he was the youngest of four siblings who he also loved, and who treated him well. Things could hardly have been better for him, and he lived the first nine years of his life in total happiness. That is, until they came.

It happened one day while his family and himself was at the beach. It was a wonderful day, and in fact the entire beach was deserted, and the area was clear for a couple of miles. It was then that it happened. A terrible wave of something swept over Crowely. It felt like a large wave, only he felt it into his soul. He ran back to his mother, terrified. He found her, only to see her corpse lying on the ground, her face twisted in pain. He looked around, and discovered the rest of his family in similar positions. It was only later that he learned that their souls had been overpowered and destroyed. Crying, he ran to the top of a nearby rock shelf, where he sat down and began to sob uncontrollably.

It was then that he felt another wave of power, and looked up. In the distance he could see small figures flying above the air. They were surrounded by the elelements, and seemed to be doing battle. More and more waves of power crashed down on him, and crying out, Crowely raised his hand. There was a dark spark, and suddenly he was surrounded by purple energy, flying around him but not through him. He smiled for a moment at the loss of the pain, but then the joy died down he thought of his dead parents. He began to cry again, and sat there for hours surrounded by the rippling purple energy, until finally the distant figures stopped the fight, and left. The purple died down instantly.

It was only later that he found out what had happened. A spiritually aware neighbor took him in, and taught him all that he needed to know about the Soul Society and Hueco Mundo. He knew now that the captains of Soul Society had been battling the Espada of Hueco Mundo. Apparently the Soul Society had believed nobody nearby, so had very few precautions in inhibitions. Crowely was shocked that both of these groups could further their own agendas with so little care for the side effects on the human population. Even the Soul Society, supposedly devoted to the protection of humankind, did little to protect them from the raging spiritual world around them.

From then on Crowely developed his powers gain from that fateful, and devoted his life to protecting the human race from feeling the side effects of the eternal conflict between Shinigami and Hollow, hoping to succeed where the Shinigami had failed.
